The world's best coffee comes from Puno-Peru

Raul Mamani, a coffee grower from Putina Punco, Puno won the “Best Quality Coffee” award at the Global Specialty Coffee Expo Seattle 2017 in the United States. The event took place on April 19-20.

Mamani is a member of the Central Coffee Cooperative of the Valleys of Sandia(Cecovasa) and is a part of the Agroforestry Project II of Putina Punco. He works together with the National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (Devida), an institution that at that time provided technical assistance to improve the quality of the coffee.

Raul Mamani is well-known for his coffee production as he has participated in competitions before. He received the second place at the XII National Competition for Quality Coffees and he was a two-time national champion in 2013 and 2015.

Mamani’s efforts and recognition show that the quality of the coffee he produces is the best in Peru and abroad.
