Peru police helicopter crashes in Arequipa, leaves 4 injured

On Thursday, four people were injured in a police helicopter crash in the province of Castilla, in the region of Arequipa.
According to Peru21, the helicopter, which is operated by Peru’s National Police, crashed in the Majes River.
The helicopter, which was on its way for Lima for repairs, suffered a major failure mid-flight, and the pilot was forced to execute an emergency landing.
The injured crew members were identified as pilot Fredy Chavez, superior officer Roberto Portilla, first sergeant Moises Tarillo, and Alan Villaverde, the daily reported.
All crew members were safely rescued by police, and taken to the local Aplao Hospital.
