Peruvians are among the happiest people in the globe, according to a recent survey carried out by WIN-Gallup International Association.
The 2012 Global Barometer of Hope and Happiness found that Peru was the eighth happiest country, and the sixth most hopeful about its economy in the world, Peru21 reported.
Colombia topped the happiness poll, followed by Malaysia, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, while Georgia, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Mozambique and China, were the most optimistic about their economy.
The survey was carried out by WIN-Gallup International Association, in 54 countries, with over 55,817 respondents.
The market research firm said the recent survey conveyed an “optimistic message that the economic gloom is subsiding worldwide and that hope for an economic recovery has risen from -2% to 7%; an increase of 9% from a year ago.”
