The European Union will become the second export destination for Peruvian agricultural products after signing the free trade agreement with Peru.
Former president of Peru\‘s Association of Producer and Agroexporters Guilds (AGAP), Felipe Llona said that this is one of the major advantages of the bilateral alliance.
It will also enable to promote agricultural activity, one of the main providers of jobs, he told the official gazette El Peruano.
Moreover, Llona said that it is not only an advantageous treaty for Peruvian exports, but a source of employment and also it promotes technology exchange and investments in this sector.
Peru and Colombia signed on June 26 a comprehensive trade agreement with the European Union and it is expected to come into effect by the end of this year.
