Three Peruvians made it onto the list of the Harvard Business Review’s top 50 Latin American CEOs.
According to El Comercio, the three Peruvians were Roque Benavides, CEO of Buenaventura; Ambraham Chahuan, CEO of Antamina, and Mile Cacic, CEO of Luz del Sur.
The magazine said the CEOs were chosen because "they have managed to generate significant returns for the shareholders of their companies."
"They understand that leadership will become more important as Latin American companies face the dual challenge of expanding in the region and globally.”
According to El Comercio, the ranking was developed with data from 294 CEOs, from 197 companies in Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, and Venezuela.
Last month two Peruvians were also listed on Forbes’ 2012 World’s Billionaire List.
Eduardo Hochschild and Carlos Rodriguez-Pastor made it onto the list, ranked 578 and 634 respectively.
