The DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Paracas has designed a unique Barbie themed suite, in partnership with Mattel. The suite is fully equipped with Barbie dolls, accessories and games, the hotel said in a press release.
"Through the Barbie Suite we seek to develop a unique environment where girls can live an authentic Barbie experience, where every element is designed so that our girls can enjoy the world of Barbie and all the products we develop that are inspired by the brand," said Olga Pinzon, a senior licensing manager at CASA.
The world’s first Barbie Room was inaugurated in Argentina’s Buenos Aires Hilton, in 2004.
Similar suites were later created in Uruguay, Colombia, Venezuela, South Korea, Spain, and Canada, among others.
The hotel said it also provides additional services like a Barbie inspired dining menu, and a ‘Barbie manicure’. Additionally, guests will also be able to buy gifts at he the hotel’s Barbie Gift Shop.

I would hope that even I were seven and in the grip of Barbie mania, I would find this suite unredeemably kitschy. If it's going to be over the top, it should do it in a fun drag queen sort of way or in a luxe retro modern way. This is pepto bismol boring.
