Peru has been struck with a strange case of fraud: the imposter boy band.

Enzo Solar, producer of the Wachiturros, an Argentine boy band, declared on the television show Amor, Amor, Amor  that he will be suing a rival group that has been touring Peru and claiming to be the band.

He also insinuated that he could sue the television networks which have, either wittingly or unwittingly, put the fake Wachiturros on the air.

Represenatatives of the Wachiturros claim that they alerted the media in Peru that the alleged Wachiturros were not the real band, but were ignored.

The Wachiturros are currently enjoying popularity in Argentina. The real group will perform in Peru in March, cancelling previous engagements to get the real band in front of audiences in Peru.
