The state-owned Boliviana de Aviacion (BoA) airlines will begin special flights to Lima starting on December 12, according to regional BoA manager Carmen Flores.
Boliviana de Aviacion plans to fly to Lima four times a week: on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at noon.
Flores explained that the scheduled flights were to be carried out before obtaining official permits to cover the route, since they are waiting for permission.
"Beginning in December 12 there will be special flights to Lima; we are working towards obtaining the operating permit, which we will have for official flights next year,” she said, according to Andina.
She added that Boliviana de Aviacion considered Lima to be a high demand destination, due to the rich cuisine, the vacation spots, and its connectivity to the rest of the world.
