In case you missed it: The Twelve Days of Christmas

By Alix Farr

Get in the spirit of the holiday and hum a well-loved Christmas carol while you catch up on this week’s news.

The sun is out. We are slurping up melting popsicles here in the office and migrating to the windows for the light breeze.  Summer is coming! And so is Christmas!

In honor of the changing weather and the upcoming holiday, I decided to catch you up on this week’s news to the tune of the familiar Christmas carol, “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” There are no lords-a-leaping or turtle doves in this version, but your true love will bring you plenty of government drama, Christmas gifts and food, and even some photos of ancient Peruvian ruins.

Try singing this as you go caroling through your neighborhood. I’m sure everyone will be really grateful to be put in a festive mood and caught up on all the important news coming out of Peru this week.

“On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…

12 thousand goods in a free trade agreement rejected and then ratified by Mexico’s senate

11 players on the winning Aurich team

10 new ministers

9 provinces in Cajamarca planning a strike

8 places to buy Peruvian gifts abroad

7 creative ideas for changing the Christmas theme to a summer one from Larry

4 photos of the Huaca de la Luna

And one last thing: if you haven\‘t gotten your true love any presents yet, don\‘t miss our Peruvian gift guide.
