We are just finishing the first part of the summer season and the sun seems to get stronger every day.

Weidi Flores, a spokesperson from the National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology (Senamhi), stated that temperatures this summer could get up to 29 or even 30 degrees Celcius in Lima, according to the Andina news agency. That’s why drinking sodas is not a very wise idea, as you could refresh yourself in the short term, but in the long term you will feel thirsty anyway because the sodium content will dehydrate you.

Instead of that, the Agriculture Department recommends the consumption of cremoladas made of Peruvian fruits because they have fewer calories, less additives and preservatives and zero coloring comparing to sodas, on one hand; and because every Peruvian fruit has a unique nutritional value, on the other one.

Nowadays it is so easy to find shops exclusively dedicated to sell refreshing cremoladas made with every fruit you can imagine. And as the Peruvian imagination flies higher every day, we can find cremoladas of new flavors like Pisco Sour or chicha morada.

Here are some places where you can find the best cremoladas in Lima:

Cremoladas Yayo
Located in Breña, this shop offers flavors like guanábana and camu-camu, but the star of the menu is definitely coconut.
Av. Tingomaria 655

This is one of the most traditional places to sip a refreshing cremolada in Miraflores. It offers 52 different flavors, including Pisco Sour.
Jr. Bolognesi 755.

Cremoladas Angélica
With more than 16 years of experience, Angélica Obregón offers 28 flavors including aguaymanto, prickly pear, lucuma and elderberry. You can visit Angélica in La Molina, Surco and San Isidro, and this summer you can also find the store in Asia, Parque de la Amistad, Santiago Apostol Market and Rinconada Country Club.
Los Copales 130 – La Molina
Flora Tristán Sur 295 – La Molina
Avenida Petit Thouars 3124 – San Isidro

This is a cozy place to relax while eating something healthy and sipping a refreshing cremolada this summer. They offer many flavors in two presentations at a very reasonable price. Visit one of its eight stores.
